Nejdet Vergili
Vergili; as he paints dream and reality hand in hand, brings along the rich variety of sensation and appreciation and leaves
it with the viewer.
In his paintings, in which time and space almost shift dimensions and become abstract, the artist, starting his journey with his own domain,
trails a path to venture on a larger scale.
His characters in these rather abstract settings, stand in the shores of "modern lives" strongly, against all odds, sing melodies about good
company and dance, inviting viewers to notice the true meanings of life and to join their play.
Nejdet Vergili was born in Bafra, one of the towns in Black Sea's Anatolian coastline, in 1954. In 1980 he graduated from the Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts with the highest degree.
